Louisa Clark is a small town girl who knows a lot about the people around her. Will is a quadriplegic man who hates everyone around him. Captain America: Civil War! Review courtesy of GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERP

I watched it, I loved it, I'd see it again! My review thanks to our GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERP which gets you 30% off your entire order of new products only.

In 1991, Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), brainwashed to be the Winter Soldier, causes a car to crash and recovers bags of a serum that turns people into super soldiers.

The short:  Political interference in the Avengers' activities causes a rift between former allies Captain America and Iron Man.

The longer: With many people fearing the actions of super heroes, the government decides to push for the Hero Registration Act, a law that limits a hero's actions. This results in a division in The Avengers. Iron Man stands with this Act, claiming that their actions must be kept in check otherwise cities will continue to be destroyed, but Captain America feels that saving the world is daring enough and that they cannot rely on the government to protect the world. This escalates into an all-out war between Team Iron Man (Iron Man, Black Panther, Vision, Black Widow, War Machine, and Spiderman) and Team Captain America (Captain America, Bucky Barnes, Falcon, Sharon Carter, Scarlett Witch, Hawkeye, and Ant Man) while a new villain emerges.

My favorite throwback movies! This "THE GOOD GIRL" review courtesy of GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERP

The Good Girl
Starting up a new feature! I'm going to share reviews for my favorite throwback movies!  This week it's The Good Girl,  the review thanks to our GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERP which gets you 30% off your entire order of new products only.

This is a quiet, small movie with a ton of star power. Not every single thing works in the film, but a goodly amount of it sure does.

The short:  A discount store clerk strikes up an affair with a stock boy who considers himself the incarnation of Holden Caulfield. It's her last best chance... is she going to take it?

The longer: The plot revolves around a young married woman whose mundane life takes a turn for the worse when she strikes up a passionate and illicit affair with an oddball discount-store stock boy who thinks he's Holden Caulfield.

Throwback review for 47 Ronin courtesy of GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERP

It's been out a while, but still worth a review. I'm going to tell you all about 47 Ronin thanks to our GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERP which gets you 30% off your entire order of new products only.
Sometimes you have to watch a movie even though you know it's not going to be what you thought it would be. And sometimes, you get something you didn't know you'd get, just for your dedication. 47 Ronin is kinda like that. Worth it, but not great.

The short: A band of samurai set out to avenge the death and dishonor of their master at the hands of a ruthless shogun.

The longer: While hunting in the forest, Lord Asano of Ako and his samurai find a young half-breed and take him with them to live in the castle. Several years later, Lord Asano holds a tournament to welcome the Shogun to Ako. The night after the tournament, Lord Asano is bewitched into hurting Lord Kira of Nagato, and is punished into committing seppuku by the Shogun. Realizing that it was a Lord Kira's evil plot, the samurais and the half-breed sets out for revenge against the Shogun's order.

My thoughts on Purple Rain, courtesy of GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERP

I saw Purple Rain in the theatre this week and I'm going to tell you all about it thanks to our GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERP which gets you 30% off your entire order of new products only.

Prince died this month, and this past week Purple Rain came back to theaters as a celebration of his life and his contributions.

My spoiler free review:
The Kid tries to overcome a difficult home life with music and performing. And purple. A lot of purple.

The short:
A young musician, tormented by an abusive situation at home, must contend with a rival singer, a burgeoning romance, and his own dissatisfied band, as his star begins to rise.

The longer:
A young man with a talent for music has begun a career with much promise. He meets an aspiring singer, Apollonia, and finds that talent alone isn't all that he needs. A complicated tale of his repeating his father's self destructive behavior, losing Apollonia to another singer (Morris Day), and his coming to grips with his own connection to other people ensues.

My 10 Cloverfield Lane review, courtesy of GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERP

Don't miss our GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERP which gets you 30% off your entire order of new products only.

Ha! I saw 10 Cloverfield Lane and I loved it. It's like two movies in one, and they're both fun and fast-paced. Now I'm not saying everything was perfect, but I really did enjoy watching and hope this franchise continues apace.

 My spoiler free review:
After getting in a car accident, a woman is held in a shelter with two men, who claim the outside world is affected by a widespread chemical attack.

The short:
Soon after leaving her fiancé Michelle is involved in a car accident. She awakens to find herself sharing an underground bunker with Howard and Emmett.

Has she been saved from an apocalyptical event as Howard & Emmett tell her or are there other motives for her being held against her will?

The longer:
In the opening scene, a woman named Michelle (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) is looking outside her window. She's on the phone with someone, arguing.

Michelle then packs a bunch of her belongings and leaves her home. Michelle drives far from the city down to the rural area. Her fiance Ben (voice of Bradley Cooper) calls her. She answers but only lets him talk and say how sorry he is, and that she shouldn't leave him just like that. Michelle hangs up.

Ben calls again, and Michelle takes her eyes off the road for a second when her car gets slammed by a truck, causing her to roll into a ditch.

Throwback Review of Sunshine, courtesy of GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERP

Don't miss our GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERP which gets you 30% off your entire order of new products only.

I'm a girl who likes science and uses it to help me make sense of the world. I prefer it that way.  But sometimes, especially in fiction, things don't quite work out exactly scientifically and that's okay.

My spoiler free review:
I really like this movie, especially for the first half, or maybe the first two thirds.  The end is a little a lot, but by the time you're there, you're invested and if you can just ride it out it will be okay.

The short:

A team of international astronauts is sent on a dangerous mission to reignite the dying Sun with a nuclear fission bomb in 2057.

The longer:

50 years into the future, the Sun begins to die, and Earth is dying as a result. A team of astronauts is sent to revive the Sun - but the mission fails. Seven years later, a new team is sent to finish the mission as mankind's last hope.

Space-ship Icarus I failed to kick-start Earth's dying sun back into action and disappeared. Icarus II carries the last available nuclear super-bomb on a mission to try again. The navigator's oversight causes serious damage to the ship, yet returning is no longer a hope, the mission dubious. Having picked up Icarus I's emergency signal from Mercury, they decide to try pick up its bomb. That side-trip comes at a high cost. But an even worse surprise is lurking aboard.

See The Barkley Marathons, the Race that Eats it's Young. Review courtesy of GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERP

Check out our GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERP which gets you 30% off your entire order of new products only.

This is the craziest race, and the coolest documentary. I don't want to spoil too much, but just trust me that this isn't the Boston Marathon by any stretch.

My spoiler free review:
Oh my goodness this race!  I have no idea why you'd enter, no idea why they put it on, and really no idea how sane the entry "fees" are (other than the $1.50 registration fee, which I know is bonkers.)

The short:
A famous prison escape sparks the idea for a cult-like race that has seen only 10 finishers in its first 25 years. This award-winning, oddly inspiring, and wildly funny documentary reveals the sports world’s most guarded secret.

The longer:
A tiny town in Tennessee is the most unlikely of places you would expect to find the hardest trail race in the world. The Barkley Marathons only accepts 35 runners each year, via secret application process, and was created by cocky ultrarunner Lazarus Lake, as a mockery of a famously failed 1977 prison escape that lasted 54 hours. On this ever-changing and unmarked course participants battle through treacherous terrain to find hidden books as proof of following the route.

If they make it to the end, they will have climbed and descended twice the height of Mount Everest, in under 60 hours.

My Hateful 8 review, thanks to GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERP

I love the movies, most of the time, like I love our GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERP which gets you 30% off your entire order of new products only.
So, I love going to the movies. It's a super fun communal experience, and there are snacks.

These are two things about seeing Hateful 8 that I liked, but there wasn't a ton more.

My spoiler free review:

The short: Tarantino needs an editor. Yes, really. This movie was indulgently long and I would have liked it more if someone had edited it.

The longer: There are a lot of great things about this movie. The cast is great, and Channing Tatum is a nice surprise.  Jennifer Jason Leigh did a wonderful job, and everyone generally acquits themselves well.

The set is beautiful and the costumes are perfect.  The snowy weather, the warm fire, and hot coffee are all scene setting and good.

And yet, it's long and kind of boring and indulgent. It doesn't have to be this way, Q. Seriously. It doesn't. You can make it shorter and it will actually make it better.  Try it sometime, and let me know your thoughts.

And for those reading at home, wait for the DVD of this one. Or just skip it all together.

What We Do In the Shadows was awesome! My review courtesy of GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC

A big hearty thank you to our Godaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC, for sponsoring this post!

The short: Viago, Deacon, and Vladislav are vampires who are finding that modern life has them struggling with the mundane - like paying rent, keeping up with the chore wheel, trying to get into nightclubs, and overcoming flatmate conflicts.

The Long: I haven't laughed this much at a movie in a long, long time.  You should get to know these four vampires - Viago, Vladislav, Deacon, and Petyr.

They are your typical roommate vampires - they share a flat in the Wellington suburb of Te Aro. Although Viago, Vladislav, and Deacon are all several centuries old, they have retained normal human appearances, but the 8,000-year-old Petyr resembles Count Orlok and acts more savagely than the younger vampires.

Each night, Viago, Vladislav, and Deacon prowl the streets of Wellington searching for people to kill, but they must stay in the flat during the day to avoid sunlight—which is lethal to vampires—therefore they have not adapted to 21st-century life. Deacon has a human servant (familiar)—Jackie—who runs errands for the vampires, but she is frustrated that Deacon will not turn her into a vampire.

You'll have to tune in to see what happens, but I promise you it won't take an eternity and you won't be sorry.

How I love Mad Max: Fury Road! Learn why this March with my review courtesy of GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC

Fury road
A big hearty thank you to our Godaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC, for sponsoring this post!

The short: A woman rebels against a tyrannical ruler in postapocalyptic Australia in search for her home-land with the help of a group of female prisoners, a psychotic worshipper, and a drifter named Max.

The Long: Oh gosh did I enjoy this movie! It was shiny and chrome and full of great shots, awesome set design and a killer array of costumes. All that, and I haven't even talked about the story itself!

Furiosa is a hard fighting, kick ass warrior. And she's a woman with one arm. No big deal for her in the post-apocalyptic near future. She adapts just like everyone else, because she has no other option.

Years after the collapse of civilization, the tyrannical Immortan Joe enslaves apocalypse survivors inside the desert fortress the Citadel. When the warrior Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) leads the despot's five wives in a daring escape, she forges an alliance with Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy)

Get your shiny and chrome on and watch it now! You won't be sorry!

I dig Jane the Virgin! My review courtesy of GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC

My review of Jane the Virgin, Thanks to our  Godaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC, I'm going to tell you why!

The short: Jane the Virgin who gets accidentally inseminated by with a sperm in the doctors office. She has to go through her pregnancy as a pregnant virgin.

The Long: Jane is very strong in her faith with a very good role model in her life, her grandmother. Jane planned on staying a virgin until marriage until she got accidentally inseminated. She had to go through this whole pregnancy as a virgin and who is not married.

This is one of my favorite shows to binge watch. Jane the Virgin seems like a girly type show but it is filled with lots of crime solving and many mysteries. My favorite character is Jane's Grandma. She seems to have figured out life and is very wise. Jane's Grandma counsels Jane and her mother through all of their problems and dumb decisions.

I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes shows that are on the more girly side but make you think.

Go see Deadpool then check out my review courtesy of GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC

Guys, you know you're going to love Deadpool. Thanks to our  Godaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC, I'm going to tell you why!

First off, all your pals loved it, and I'm sure they've told you you will love it. They're right. All your co-workers loved it too, and they are STILL talking about it in the breakroom.

My spoiler free review:

The short:  It's a comic book movie for folks who aren't kids. There's lots of grown up hardcore stuff happening to Deadpool, and lots of blood, and guts and loss. It's not pretty, but it is pretty awesome.

The Long: Wade Wilson is a former Special Forces operative who now works as a mercenary. His world comes crashing down when evil scientist Ajax (Ed Skrein) tortures, disfigures and transforms him into Deadpool. The rogue experiment leaves Deadpool with accelerated healing powers and a twisted sense of humor. With help from mutant allies Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Deadpool uses his new skills to hunt down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Go get some!

THE FLASH Season One is kind of awesome

I'm watching Season One of THE FLASH. I'm a little more than halfway through and just finished Episode 18, "Rouge Time."

When I started watching this show, I thought it was kind of silly. The good guys win at the end of every episode, the bad guys start out unbeatable but have that one convenient weakness, there were all the tropes (you bumbling superhero with heart of gold, geeky tech crew in the Awesome Lab of Everything, the caring cop, etc.), but you know what? This show quickly grew on me (just like our Godaddy coupon page and the "Godaddy Code"  CJCSIGLERC, which gets you a new domain for just 99 cents).

First of all, this is a comic book show based on a classic yet simplistic comic. It takes the origin story of THE FLASH and brings it into modern times. The cast is really quite excellent. What I started out thinking were thin tropes turned out to be well-developed characters, thanks to the skill of the people playing those parts.

Does every episode end well? Sure, but there is a season-long plot that keeps you coming back every week. Hints of a bigger-than-all evil are always dropped, and they chain together to keep you intrigued. So, you get the best of both worlds — episodes you can watch out of order and not miss anything if you like, or, watch them in sequence and see the bigger picture come together.

I had an up-turned nose for this show when I started, but I'm happy to say my snootiness was misplaced. I'm looking forward to finishing this season and moving on to Season Two!

Oh, I loved Sicario, check out my review courtesy of GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC

I can't believe how good Sicario is! But thanks to our  Godaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC, I'll tell you all about it!

Guys, this movie didn't get a ton of Oscar nominations, which I really don't understand. Tight and visually pretty, with a great script and great sound and great costumes.

My spoiler free review:

The short:  An idealistic FBI agent is enlisted by a government task force to aid in the escalating war against drugs at the border area between the U.S. and Mexico.

The Long: Emily Blunt plans Kate Macer, a young, smart, spirited FBI agent who works kidnappings. She gets snagged by a shadowy border crew working on the drug war. Are they good guys? Hard to say.

Benicio del Toro plays Alejandro, who is Colombian, and working with the US team, although perhaps not all the one of the good guys. It's a still, solid, special performance and I was totally engaged.

Josh Brolin also stars, as Matt Graver, and he's just a wily and hard to totally pin down as Alejandro. They want to stop the flow of drugs into the US, but also would be happy to just control it.

See this movie when you can, you won't be sorry.

It's February and I watched Along Came Polly My review courtesy of GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC

Love her!
I do love a good chick flick!  Godaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC, I'm going to sell you on Frozen!

Think about it, there are so many reasons for chick flicks not to work, and yet they do. Predictable, probably well know tropes, and totally sappy. I think they work because we love love.

My spoiler free review:

The short: On Reuben's honeymoon, he catches his wife, Lisa, sleeping with a scuba diver. After returning from a horrible honeymoon, Reuben runs into an old classmate named Polly. Reuben falls into love with Polly.

The Long: Reuben is not one to take risks. When he and Polly start to date, his life becomes filled with complete chaos and he starts taking a lot of risks. When Lisa, his x-wife, returns from her honeymoon, Reuben is forced to take a risk and decide which girl is more important to him.

I really love how Polly is known to date bad guys.. Reuben is a big softy and Polly has to adjust to his ways of living compared to hers. The adjustment
between them is really funny. My favorite characters are Reuben's mom and dad. They are just like Reuben and worry a LOT. You see where Reuben gets his worrying from.

I would recommend this movie for anyone who likes romantic movies with a little comedy. This movie is definitely a chick flick that anyone would enjoy!

Frozen review time! GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC brings you my review.

Let it go! Thanks to our Godaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC, I'm going to sell you on Frozen!

I loved Frozen and I love how many little tendrils into real life Frozen has made! I love all the YouTube videos of tiny girls singing Let It Go at the top of their lungs!

My spoiler free review:

The Short: Elsa is born with powers that makes her able to freeze things. She gets too out of control with her powers and accidentally freezes her sister, Anna's heart. But only true love can melt Anna's heart.

Let it go!
The Long: Elsa and Anna are sisters. At a young age, Elsa accidentally hits Anna in the head with her magic and is forced to hide the powers. Later in the story, Elsa can not take hiding her magical powers anymore and leaves to go to the mountains where she can be free. Elsa ends up making her city a snowy mess and her sister, a frozen heart. The only one who can save Anna is her true love.

I really love the message that this movie sends. It is that a girl doesn't need a man to be happy. The whole movie is very dramatic but very exciting. My favorite character is Olaf because of his great attitude and his songs.

I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes silly humor or Disney Movies. Frozen has a great message and it is a movie for the whole family!

So, I watched "Sisters" GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC brings you my review.

See this one soon!
Sometimes I love the movies I review. Sometimes I don't. Either way, thanks to our Godaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC, I'm going to tell you all about it.

First things first: So far, this new year has been rough on the Creatives. Losing Bowie will take until Arbor Day to actually even understand, but then losing Rickman the same week. Balls.

I did go see Sisters. It was funnier than it could have been, but not as funny as it should have been. It's also fun and awesome in a lot of ways. And if you are an 80's baby, you should see this flick.

But, honestly, I wish it had been written by Fey and Pohler, instead of just starred them. I love Amy Pohler beyond reason a little, so that would have been awesome.

My spoiler free review:

The short: Fun movie, fine for a rental.

The longer: It's hard to see Tina Fey's character as someone I might know. Amy Pohler's? Hells yes. But Tina Fey's is a bit too far removed.

They both look great and their looks are so dynamic I am totally in love. I really love that they look like "normal people" when they're doing the workaday stuff, but then when they get dressed for the party they're so smokin' hot. I like to think that's me when I do it up and dress up to go out.

If I were you I'd wait for the DVD. It's fun, but probably more fun at home so you can hop up and dance.

I saw "The Big Short" and have things to say! My review, courtesy of GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC

See this one soon!
Find out if I loved it or hated it (spoiler: loved it) by reading my review on "The Big Short" thanks to our Godaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC

First things first: Happy New Year to you! I hope everyone had a good vacation there at the end of the year. I had a little time off, which was great, and got caught up on a lot of work too. All good things!

On one of my days off, I went to see "The Big Short."  It's a movie about the 2008 housing collapse and following worldwide financial crisis.  I know that sounds uber depressing and hard, and it was, don't get me wrong. It's awful to see terrible people being terrible, and it's even worse knowing it's based on a true story we all had to live through.

That said, it's also great. Easy to understand VERY hard concepts, by the movie makers creative use of breaking the fourth wall. Even Selena Gomez is in it!

My spoiler free review:

The short: My short on The Big Short is very short: yes, you should see it.

The longer: Very difficult to understand subject matter made easy, and entertaining. That's no small feat, and yet exactly what this movie does. You learn so much you didn't know and probably won't remember too clearly in a week!

It's an examination of the failing of the housing market in the US in 2008, and the people who saw the fail coming and bet against it in the stock market. And those people are the good guys, I promise you!

I'd go see it if I were you and had time, because of the stellar cast, but you can wait and see this one on Netflix too. No NEED to see it on the big screen. Just more fun that way.
