My OITNB Season 3 Episode 2 Thoughts blog thanks to GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC

I love GoDaddy. It is a great service that helps you blog for cheap. Because of them, I can blog about whatever I like. What I like to blog about is television, in particular, OITNB.

However, you can blog about whatever you like. And why not? Using GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC will get you a domain for just $0.99. That's so cheap! That way, you can try your hand at blogging without the risk of paying too much. Give it go -- I love it. So will you!

Now for OITNB Season 3 Episode 2.

The episode is titled "Bed Bugs and Beyond". It was directed by Constantine Makris and written by Jim Danger Gray. I know. The guy who wrote it sounds like a tool for having his middle name Danger. Jeez-Louise. If he was on Tinder or Cupid with that name, I'd be like no way. I know enough about you to never, ever date you.

This episode focuses on the prison getting bed bugs. There is some thought by the staff that they may have brought them in when they brought a sofa off the street for their office. I'm presuming so they could have sex in it.

The girls all have to strip down from their normal uniforms to wash all the clothes, bedding and others. However, since the prison is sorely underfunded, there are not enough paper gowns to go around Some of the inmates, Alex included, have to wear makeshift clothing out of garbage bags. Some choose to walk around in their prison issued underwear.

Right there, is why I love this show. The cameras do not shy away from what normal women's bodies look like. There is no special lighting, there is no crafty angle to shoot the girls. This is what they look like. I appreciated it. It's a small thing, but this is actually a big step. Even Piper, who is portrayed by Laura Prepon, is shown as a normal woman. She is drop-dead gorgeous. There is no denying that. However, like all women, she has flaws. She is not perfect. That is good to see.

So mostly, everyone is dealing with the bed bug situation and we find out that the prison is actually going to be shut down. I'm not sure if it is due to the scandal, or simply funding, but Caputo is the last one to know. He finds out as they are burning some mattresses that his request for new ones, despite finding a way to fund it, is being denied. It's because the prison is closing.

All the girls will be relocated.

The show this week also focuses on Bennett and Daya. She is closer to having the baby and her Mother finds out that Pornstache's mother wants to visit Daya. Instead, Momma Daya, otherwise known as Aleida, meets with Pornstache's mother instead. They discuss P.M. adopting the baby. This seems like a good idea to all around except Bennett. He wants to marry Daya and keep the baby.

This changes when he visits Aleida's house and her boyfriend. He then flashes back to his military days where it seems he was of questionable character. Now we are left wondering whether or not Bennett will actually go through keeping the baby.

My thoughts on this week's show was a little meh. Outside of my approval of the way they showed the woman, as for story, I wasn't super happy. I didn't even mention the Piper and Alex storyline because it seems tired. I do still enjoy watching Poussey and Taystee. The rest of them, meh.

I'll keep watching though, because I have a thing about starting something and not finishing it. The show runner is Jenji Kohan and I was extremely disappointed in how Weeds progressed. I feel like the same thing is starting to happen with OITNB as well.

Hopefully more Red next episode.

Talk to you all soon!

My OITNB Season 3 Episode 1 Thoughts blog thanks to GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC

Godaddy is a great way to start your own blog. With GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC you can get one for just $0.99. That means you can blog about whatever you like! I like to blog about television, one of which is Orange is the New Black.

The first episode to season 3 was a little bit of a Debbie-Downer for me.

First off, some good things. The warden or whatever his name is, he is in charge now. It seems that things are running smoother for the inmates. That was a nice sign.

Piper is still Piper. She is still somewhat oblivious to the fact that she is in the same boat as the rest of the prisoners. She always thinks that she is better than everyone else and doesn't think that she has to play by the same rules.

Somehow, and for whatever reason (mostly convenience for the writers, which is lame), Alex shows back up. Something about a gun. This was absolutely some weak writing just to get to the two characters in the same room together.

Red is back. She seems to be a nicer version of herself, but I do not think that this will last. The scene with her sickeningly leech-like family was great. Red is the only one worth anything in that family. She is doing more on the inside of a jail that those losers are doing outside of it. I love her character.

Crazy eyes is having a hard time letting go of Vee, which should be expected. Vee played her, and since Suzanne is not smart, and is developmentally delayed, it makes a lot of sense that she still may not catch on how much Vee played her. She may also not want to realize it. Who can blame her?

However, story wise, what was terribly sad about this episode was the main events, Mother's Day. All the kids came to celebrate it with their incarcerated mothers. At one point, a child goes missing and the whole thing has to be shut down. All prisoners on their bellies and the kids freaking out. I'm not so sure that would happen in real life. It seems a bit traumatic on the kids. It just broke my heart for all of them. Then there was poor Poussey. Missing her mom like crazy when others couldn't care less.

The final sad scene to this episode was the young mother whose gang boyfriend would no longer let her child come see her. It was such a catch-22. She probably did bad stuff with that man she got pregnant with. Due to circumstances, she winds up in jail, and this gang member doesn't. Yet, he tries to turn his life around for the child, which is a good thing, but just so sad for the young mother.

Heart-wrenching episode.

My Archer Season 5 Thoughts blog thanks to GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC

This blog is made possible thanks to the good people at GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC.

I love this show. I'm not kidding. I absolutely, hands down, adore it. I want to watch it everyday. I wish it was like a soap opera, where Monday-Friday, you get a new episode every day.

With that being said, this was not my most favorite season.

Season 5 was labeled Archer Vice.

It started airing on January 13th, 2014.

It had 13 glorious episodes. So even though it wasn't my favorite season, it is still better than 98% of the television being shown today.

Some of the highlights for me was the Burt Reynolds episode. Archer freaking out that he can actually do the Run is super awesome.

The Baby Shower episode was really great for the continuation of the storyline between Archer and Lana. Way to go Woodhouse! coming through in the end! And we got to see a cameo by Kenny Loggins! Us 80's kids out there (like Archer), were super pumped! How cool!

I loved the episode The Rules of Extraction . Watching the crocodile come up on the raft was super awesome. Then Ray simply walking off was spectacular. It also made perfect sense that Archer would not even be annoyed, he was impressed with Ray's scam.

The Palace Intrigue episodes were great because I liked the way Archer kept shooting people so that they couldn't state that he had slept with Juliana.

And, to conclude, the vey, very best part was how concerned Archer was with the delivery of Lana's baby. The show showed that even though it is an animated, comedic show, it can show real heart.

I can't wait for season 6!

Side note, Pam was kind of, absolutely, really, annoying this season. I hope they make her less so for season 6.

Side, side note. I hate FX for this. They make it so hard to see there most current season if you are just a little bit behind. I ran against this same dilemma with Sons of Anarchy. I get that they are just trying to make money on DVD's and purchases off of Amazon, but it is so insulting. I just want to watch your show, okay?

My Archer Season 4 Thoughts blog thanks to GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC

I love watching television shows. I love comparing them, falling in love with them, or critically discussing them. That's why I signed up for a blog with GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC. It allows me an avenue to discuss something that I love. You should get a blog too. It's only $0.99! That's basically risk free!

Speaking of shows that I have fallen in love with ... I love Archer. I'm not kidding. I adore this show. I hope that it goes on forever. I want to see Lana and Sterling when they are the butler's age. It will be "classic Archer".

Season 4 was terrific. We received 13 fabulous episodes with some absolutely fantastic guest stars.

The show opens with Archer having memory loss because he can't deal with the fact that his mother married the Cadillac dealership owner Ron. Apparently, the voice of Archer is also the voice of the main dude, I'm assuming Bob on Bob's Burgers. I'm not going to lie. I will now never watch Bob's Burgers because I do not want to ruin the amazing voice of Archer. No can do.

The second episode was so fantastic. It guest stars one of my all-time favorite actors Timothy Olyphant. Apparently, Archer really does have one friend in the world (voiced by Olyphant), Luca Troy. Troy used to be an agent at ISIS, but signed with the competitor. Troy is presumed dead, but Archer won't hear of it. He goes on an unauthorized mission to find his good buddy.

I absolutely loved this episode. Some of the quips in it were fantastic and the references were superb.
ref to The Natural

Another episode that was a favorite of mine was Once Bitten. In this episode Archer is bitten by a snake and he goes in and out of consciousness. Even in that state, he is so funny. Also, one of my favorite movies is The Natural staring Robert Redford and this episode references it.

Episode 8, Coyote Lovely, was good just because it featured another Justified guest star, Nick Searcy.

Episode 10, Un Chien Tangerine, was one of my favorites. I hate to give anything away, but there is a dog in the episode. It cracked me up so bad. I will tell you this. Please note that the dog barks in morse code. I don't want to give anything away, but just look for the dog to mimic something that Archer does to Lana.

Those were my favorite episodes. I will say this. This season had one episode I really didn't care for. The Papal Chase was not my favorite. It was pretty unfunny and just kinda weird.

All in all though, fantastic season. I highly recommend that you watch it!

I will review season 5 next week!

My Archer Thoughts blog thanks to GoDaddy coupon CJCSIGLERC

Last week I wrote that I didn't know what I would watch next since my AMC shows were done, as well as Justified on FX.

After much consideration and some very good recommendations, I settled upon Archer.

All I have to say is I can't believe I didn't watch this show sooner.

This show is very clever, which is something that I adore.

Wait, let me back it up.

Archer is an animated series on FX. It first aired on January 14th, 2010. It's creator is Adam Reed. I had to look up Mr. Reed because a bunch of the actors from Arrested Development have done voice work for the show, so I thought maybe he had been involved with that series. He wasn't. It just seems the very fine actors from Arrested Development are keenly aware of what is funny and what is not. Bravo to you Jessica Walter and Judy Greer for taking on primary roles in this show. Kudos to Jeffrey Tambor and David Cross for frequently guest voicing on the series.

The show has striking similarities to Arrested Development with the family dynamics, the quick wit of the characters, and the frequent use of running jokes.

Main characters are:

  • Sterling Archer: the greatest spy and son of Malory Archer
  • Malory Archer: the boss of ISIS (I do believe they change this later on with the development of the terrorist group) and mother to Archer. This character truly is the mother from Arrested Development plus a gun. It is just a continuation.
  • Lana: very hot operative, ex girlfriend of Sterling.
  • Pam: HR representative
  • Cheryl: secretary with multiple fetishes
  • Cyril: accountant that keeps trying to be an operative

I am currently streaming the show on Netflix and the episodes are approximately 21 minutes long. It's so amazing because there are no commercials. Plus (depending on the way you look at it), stupid Netflix automatically loads the next episode for you so before you know it, you've watched 3 episodes.

What I like about the show is the humor. It is fast-paced, very smart, and well-planned. There are times where I have to look up Sterling's references, which makes me super happy. The humor is like your friend that always has the perfect, awesome retort to what someone says. You envy them. I envy the wit of the characters on this show.

It also has crass humor as well, so it has something for everyone.

It is clearly very popular as it just wrapped up it's 6th season and has been given a 7th. I do believe I also just read that it won a critic's choice award for best animated series.

I love it.

This will be the new show that I post about.

I'm assuming in seasons, until I get caught up, as by next week I will have blown through season 4 already.
