Game of Thrones this week was good, as always. Maybe not the best one ever, but still, it's like pizza, even bad pizza is still pizza.

The best part of the program for me was anything involving Jaime Lannister this week. His send off of Brienne to save Sansa was amazing. He finally does what the show has been hinting at, applying the soul he rediscovered when captive to do good. He made an oath, and through self-discovery with Brienne, is going to follow through. It is why she names the sword the Oathkeeper. To honor Jaime Lannister. The respect between these two in this scene is immense. I love it. I love that Jaime is the antithesis of who he is with his sister Cersei. So touching.

The only other scene that I really liked was when Jaime went to go see his brother in the dungeon. That was good too. It showed that Jaime truly does care for his brother, and likewise. Good moment between them.

Oh, and the scene between Jaime and Bronn was really good too. I bet the scene where Bronn bitch-slaps Jaime will come into play later. I think it was an important lesson for Jaime to relearn to expect anything. It's not just a sword he will have to deal with if he is going to return himself to his full glory as a soldier.

What did you think of the episode?

***SPOILERS***

I love this show so much, it's ridiculous.

Tywin Lannister wastes no time getting to the new king, Tommen. Which, in this world, I can hardly blame him. Joffrey was such a mitigated disaster on all fronts, best wash their hands of it as soon as possible. They can hardly afford not to, there is evil everywhere in this world!

Jaime Lannister on the other hand, has had it with his sister-love. He forcibly takes her, which, is just awful. He is literally under his own son. There is so much dysfunction it is ridiculous. Yes, she's evil. Just walk away and go help your brother (someone has to) and leave her in her own misery. Don't become worse than Cersei.

Poor, poor Tyrion. He needs a friend. Everyone is out to get him. "They" are even after his squire. That was a great scene. That's all I have to say about that.

Arya and The Hound. Oh, how I love them. Just when Arya starts to let her guard down about The Hound, he goes on and keeps teaching her lessons about the cruelty of life. I love this plot line.

Want to know what plot line I give two shits about? Dragonstone. Stannis? Melisandre? Tell me when something happens. Something real. Davros -- we can keep him around. But no more than 2 minutes screen time, wait for it, until something actually happens.

Then on to the last plot point. Pretty overly dramatic, but hey, why not? Daenerys has her (not as good actor) love puppy fight the slave champion -- straight out of Troy -- instead of the whole army coming down for a fight. Okay, that was pretty cool. And then we are to wonder what she threw up at the elitist class and their slaves? Oh, slave collars. Hint. Hint .. . hey why don't you kill your owners for me? It's actually pretty smart. She doesn't have to lose any of her army. These slaves fight their owners, and then the best of the best that survive come marching along with her. Cool.

***Spoilers***

Wow! Last night's episode of GoT was awesome! I won't bore you with the details, but just tell you my favorite parts.

Every line that Tyrion says. He's an amazing character, beautifully played by Peter Dinklage. I loved his verbal sparring with King Joffrey. Whether it be when Tyrion gave Joffrey the book, or how masterfully Tyrion evaded Joffrey's attempts at humiliating him at the reception. Sure, it humiliating, but the pride that Tyrion showed by not being completely subservient to Joffrey was amazing.

During the wedding reception, I wish the camera would have lingered more on Tyrion's attempt to console Sansa by holding her hand. I thought that was a sweet moment, especially if we could have seen if Sansa allowed him to console her. It was touching to see Sansa crawl under the table to get the goblet for Tyrion. Hopefully, she can see by now that they both are puppets, their strings played by Cersei, Joffrey, and Tywin Lannister.

Personally, I loved the whole scene at the banquet with all of the various big-hitters being appauled at Joffrey's behavior. I know it was to setup a "who done it", and it worked.

When aunt Olenna says to Sansa "Killing a man at a wedding! What sort of monster would do such a thing?" Perhaps that was prophetic. I mean, there was all that foreshadowing in the previous season of aunt Olenna asking Sansa what kind of person King Joffrey was. I don't think this aunt really wanted Margaery to have to live it for herself on her wedding night. Aunt Olenna is my first choice for who killed Joffrey.

My other suspect for the "who done it" could be Tyrion's mistress, Shae. Well, not just her. She must be in cahoots with someone else. I always thought that necklace on Sansa's neck was a little to Mockingjay.

On a final note. Although I HATED King Joffrey, and wanted to see him killed off in the show, like most people, I will sort of miss how deliciously evil he was. Also, in a way, I really wish there was more of a showdown with his killer. I'd love to see the person get the satisfaction of knowing that King Joffrey knew who killed him. I know there is a lot of chatter about it being one of the Stark kids, but I don't need it to be. Jaime Lannister? Tywin Lannister -- they all do fine. I would have loved to see Margaery do him in as well. Maybe on their wedding night, with a good witty remark of her own.

That's my blog about my thoughts on the Game of Thrones episode. I can't wait until next week!

Where's this guy been??

My "Game of Thrones Thoughts" blog thanks to GoDaddy coupon sigler295

GoDaddy coupon sigler295 allowed my to write this blog. It got me a blog for just $2.95.

I love me some Game of Thrones! It is just so good.

Last night was the season 4 premier of Game of Thrones entitled 'Two Swords'. We got a look at all
of the characters we have missed, spaced out over the whole hour.

I won't bore you with the details of a recap, just my thoughts.

Some highlights for me ...

I'm ready for Sad Sansa to suck it up and move forward. Don't forget it was her wild idea to be a queen some day that got her into this mess - and the rest of the family. Her little sister has more grit and guts than she does. I don't dislike her yet, but she needs to buck-up.

Speaking of her little sis, Arya is absolutely my favorite character. I think her relationship with the Hound is amazing. When she recites back to Polliver the same thing he said to her before taking her sword (her friend's life) ... amazing! The scene with her riding on her own horse -- I had t.v. face. She understands the situation. I love her.

I also love what the show has done with Jaime Lannister. The entire show opens with the despicable deed of throwing the boy off the tower. Now, four seasons later -- I root for him. My second favorite relationship? Jaime's relationship with Brienne of Tarth. I love how he respects her above all others. Love, love, love to see where this is going.

I love the scene with Joffrey be a little bitch to Jaime. Oh, how I would love it if he beat his own son to death with his new golden hand.

I can't wait for next week!
